Our Mission:
The mission of SDSS is to improve public education by supporting the successful operation of high-quality charter schools. SDSS provides access to funding, staffing, professional expertise, and direct technical support. The primary goal of SDSS is to see that new and veteran charter schools and operators maintain a strong, viable, and effective school option for families and communities. We hope to impact school reform and viable school choices for working class families.
What We Do:
The School Development Strategies and Solutions Group (SDSS) provides experienced and expert technical assistance, training, and resources to charter school developers, operators, charter-granting agencies, and policy makers in the United States and abroad.
Our mission is critical because, unlike traditional schools, charter schools have neither a ready source of capital oe expertise for intial operations, facilities and other basic needs. Where a traditional public school district would recieve various funds to cover such costs, charter schools must look for assistance from outside sources. SDSS can help with start up and ongoing charter school operations.
